GAINESVILLE, Florida – Florida FFA is pleased to announce the winners of the State Citrus Career Development Event.  The winners of this event will be recognized at the 88th Florida FFA State Convention and Expo in July.  The competitive event was held on December 1, 2015 in Haines City, FL.

The top five teams received awards sponsored by Polk County Farm Bureau and Coca-Cola Refreshments, as a special project of the Florida FFA Foundation.

The Citrus Career Development Event stimulates learning activities to the production and management of citrus fruit.

The High Individuals were Sarah Shipley from the Kathleen FFA Chapter and Macie Lamb from the Barrington MS FFA Chapter. Kathleen team members included Sarah Shipley, Mikayla Myers, Alex Yelvington and Lacee Richardson.  Their advisor is Keitha Hall. Barrington team members included Macie Lamb, Charlotte Byrnes, Rebecca McGuin and Chloe Murphy.  Their advisor is Greg Lehman.
