Florida FFA is pleased to announce the results of the 2012 Safe Tractor Operations and Maintenance Career Development Event (CDE). The state event was held May 5, 2012 at Ridge Career Center in Winter Haven. 10 students from throughout Florida gathered to compete for the state championship. The Safe Tractor Operations and Maintenance CDE is designed to allow students to demonstrate their knowledge and ability related to the maintenance and safe operation skills of tractors. Florida FFA is very appreciative of the support of our event coordinator, Mrs. Pam Walden of Hillsborough County Schools, as well as, Mr. Walter Brown, Mr. Jim Jeffries, Mr. John Altizer and Mr. Dan Walden. A special thanks to Mr. Walter Brown of Gordon Tractor for supplying the equipment and Ridge Career Center for allowing the use of their facility for this event.
As a matter of procedure, event results are considered unofficial for (2) business days following publishing. It is the responsibility of the FFA Advisor to review individual team results. Any appeal must be made to the FFA Executive Secretary in writing for necessary adjustments to be made. At the close of business on the second business day following publishing, results will be official.
